A Leesburg woman was arrested for trespassing at a man’s home for the third time this year.
Police responded to a trespass complaint at an undisclosed Leesburg residence around 11:37 a.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The male victim advised that 41-year-old Stephanie Lynn Armstrong was at the residence, and he wanted her to leave.
Upon arrival, the officer met with the victim at the front of the residence. He explained that he came home to Armstrong sitting on the back porch and refusing to leave. He further stated that she was trespassed from the property in May 2023 and had been arrested twice since due to her continuing to return. He also asked her to leave multiple times already, the report said.
The officer then walked to the backyard area and observed Armstrong standing in the back of the garage, the report said. She was rambling on about events that occurred in her life. The officer asked her a second time to leave the property, and she walked to the porch area to sit down.
After a brief conversation with Armstrong, the officer told her that she was trespassed from the property and was not supposed to be there. He secured her in handcuffs while she yelled at the victim, asking him over and over why he went to prison when she was younger, the report said.
The Georgia native was charged with trespassing (failure to leave property upon order by owner). She was transported to the Lake County Jail and held without bond.
Armstrong was arrested earlier this year in February for getting into a shoving match with her fiancé at a Mardi Gras parade and again in May for kicking an officer in the groin while being removed from her father’s house.
