Dannie J. Cordle, 72, of Eustis, FL passed away on November 28, 2023 at Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares, FL after a short battle with cancer. He was born on January 6, 1951 in Defuniak Springs, FL. Dannie, known for his sense of humor and work ethic like no other, was a lively individual who cherished his family and embraced life. He was always cracking jokes and brought joy to those around him. In his free time, he enjoyed working, taking care of his animals, and attending his grandson’s sporting events.

Dannie is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Helen Marie Spears Cordle, his daughters Anna Marie “Dusty” Cordle (Lorena Zuniga) of Eustis, FL, Heather Cordle White (Gabe) of Eustis, FL. He is also survived by his brother, Ferrell Cordle of Ocala, FL, his sisters, Pat Strickland (Edward) of Lumberton, NC, and Sandra Cordle of Lumberton, NC, as well as his grandson Owen White of Eustis, FL. Dannie was preceded in death by his parents James and Anna Belle Cordle, and brother, Harold.

Dannie graduated from Mt Dora High School before serving in the Navy for four years. After his military service, he went on to start his lawn business in 1976 which quickly developed into his road construction business, Professional Dirt Service in Eustis, FL. Dannie’s successful career spans 47 years alongside his employees that he cared for like family.

In his leisure time, Dannie enjoyed team penning, caring for his cattle, hunting, and indulging in his passion for the outdoors. His love for hunting allowed him to connect with nature and find solace in its beauty. He proudly showed his trophy room displaying all his amazing hunts with family and friends over the years.

Dannie J. Cordle will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His infectious laughter and vibrant personality will forever be remembered. A celebration of his life will be held honoring his memory on Saturday, December 16th at 1200 pm at the Cordle residence/ PDS barn.
