Major George A Sanders III, 82 passed away peacefully Sept 28,2023. He was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was born January 3rd, 1941 in Leesburg, Florida. He spent his childhood attending First Baptist Church of Leesburg where later he became an honorary youth pastor. He earned his Eagle Scout as a young man. Graduated from Leesburg High School in 1958, he then joined the United States Air Force in 1959.
George served overseeing many phases in his Airforce career and retired after a proud 22 years as a Major. George was very much a people person and after retirement found himself as a car salesman/manager for Ford and Cadillac where he had a second retirement after 15 years in the industry. George had a love for Hot Rods, watching NASCAR, going to local race tracks, Going to Miami and Gator football games and he had a love for hunting with his brothers. George loved having dinners out and traveling to different places with his wife Wanda of 44 happy years.
George is preceded in death by his parents George A. Jr and Ruby Sanders and his brother Ross Sanders.
