Dennis Sunao Kanemori
May 12, 1944 – November 25, 2023
Dennis “Denny” Sunao Kanemori of Mount Dora, Florida passed away on Saturday November 25, 2023, at the age of 79.
He was born on May 12, 1944, in Hilo, Hawaii to Takeshi and Chizu Kanemori. He graduated from Western Michigan University where he was an active member of Delta Upsilon Fraternity and met the love of his life, Alison Jane. They married on December 23, 1967. Denny was a first lieutenant in the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam war for 3 years. He continued his education earning a Master’s in Business Administration from Lehigh University. Denny worked as a Packaging Engineer in pharmaceuticals and was a member of the Institute of Packaging Professionals. He raised his family in Landenberg, Pennsylvania. He coached soccer, baseball, and tee ball and served as Commissioner of the PA District 23 Little League for 25 years. He was known to his family as a great dad and husband.
Denny is predeceased by parents Takeshi and Chizu Kanemori.
Denny is survived by his wife of 56 years Alison Kanemori; sons Andrew “Drew” Kanemori (Michelle McClain), and Dan (Laura) Kanemori; sister Vivian (Vincent) Andres; grandchildren Taryn, Joss, Key, and Aiden Kanemori.
