Leesburg Bikefest attendance expected to exceed 200,000

Officials are predicting that this year’s Leesburg Bikefest attendance will exceed 200,000.

To handle the large crowds expected to join in the three-day festival, which runs April 28 through April 30, the Leesburg Commission has approved the boundaries for the event. To accommodate the large crowds and numerous vendors, the city has decided to dedicate several blocks of downtown Leesburg to Bikefest activities. The city has also set aside an area where shuttles will be available to move people to the main stage and vendor areas.

The Full Throttle Bike Show will fill the Lifestream parking lot Friday, April 28 with registration to exhibit bikes between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Awards for different motorcycle categories will be handed out between 5 and 5:30 p.m. that Friday.
