A 35-year-old Miami Beach man was pronounced dead at the scene of a head-on crash early Sunday in Lake County
The man, whose name is withheld pending the notification of next of kin, was driving westbound in a grey Mitsubishi SUV on County Road 474 at around 3 a.m. when he made a wide turn onto State Road 33, crossing over the center lane and into the path of a van heading south on S.R. 33, according the Florida Highway Patrol report.
The passenger in the Mitsubishi, as well as all three occupants of the van, were taken to the hospital for minor injuries, the report said.
The wreck remains under investigation.
