Sewer lines being tested this month in downtown Leesburg

Sewer line smoke testing will be conducted this month in several areas of Leesburg, including downtown.

Testing is being performed by the city’s contractor, EnviroWaste Services Group.  This is routine preventative maintenance that is conducted to help find issues in the city’s sewer system. Testing is expected to continue through Dec. 31.

Testing locations will vary throughout the month with the downtown Main Street area from Canal Street to U.S. Hwy. 27 (including side streets in the downtown area) being the primary locations.  Door hangers will be handed out in affected areas/neighborhoods at least 24 hours in advance of testing.
