“Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.”

Virginia Louise Samuels passed away May 4, 2022. She was born on May 18, 1948, in Washington, Georgia to the late Willie Samuel and Doretha Richardson. She attended and graduated from Carver Heights High School. She retired from the City of Leesburg Utilities Department after 31 years of hard work and dedicated service. She loved her family deeply. Virginia loved church and the Lord God which led her to gain her degree in Associate of Bible Study. In her spare time, she found enjoyment doing volunteer work, word search puzzles, collecting books and playing Candy Crush.

Virginia was once asked two questions: How did she want to be remembered? She replied, “Kind, caring, helpful and patient.” Also, did she have a personal quote? She replied, “Keep on striving until you’ve obtained your goal and never say never.”

Those left to cherish her memory: daughter, Nicole Sonya Samuels; sons, Eric Samuels, Sr., (France Tiffany Morgan) and Jamie Samuels; eight grandchildren, Candaece Chatman Kyle Leeks (Ana Leeks), Eric Samuels, Jr., (Jaleyah Samuels), Caleb Gibson, Imaria Samuels, Jahiem Samuels, Syncere Samuels, Khalailla Monno; ten great-grandchildren, Layce Nelson, Jayden Green, Raen Golden, Eric Samuels, III, Jayron Jackson, Aniya Samuels, Jahmir Samuels, Kelly Leeks, Kyle Leeks, Jr., and Kyler Leeks; two nephews, Courtney Wilson (Kia Wilson) and Kevin Edwards; along with a host of aunts and friends who will truly miss her.
