Bicyclist killed after running stop sign in Lake County

A bicyclist was killed after running a stop sign in Lake County.

The 45-year-old Clermont man was riding the bicycle at 3:30 p.m. Thursday traveling eastbound on State Road 50 and County Road 455 when he ran a stop sign and entered into the path of a car driven by a 16-year-old girl from Montverde, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
