James Carl Morphet

James Carl Morphet, of Leesburg, went home to be with Jesus at the age of 62. Jimmy was born on November 15, 1959 to Murray and Barbara (Freedlund) Morphet. He was the youngest of three brothers and moved to Leesburg, FL in the late 70’s. He served Lake County as a Volunteer Firefighter, was a Road Ranger on the Florida Turnpike and He retired this past December after 26 years with Lake County Schools Board Transportation. He enjoyed life to the fullest and loved to make people laugh. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help his family and friends.He loved anything with wheels, and in his younger years could be found riding his motorcycle with his buddies. In the last few years, he became an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time out on the water with his brother Fred and nephew Jason. His favorite getaway spot was Cedar Key to catch snook and relax. He is preceded in death by his father, Murray, mother, Barbara, and brother Donald Morphet. He is survived by his wife Rhonda, daughter Kastin Siwek (Trey) his brother Fred Morphet and many nieces, nephews and cousins which he loved dearly.
We will miss your amazing smile and infectious laugh. You left this life far too soon, but we are so thankful to have had you in our lives.

Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at Good News Church, (400 Executive Blvd., Leesburg, FL 34748) at 1:00pm.
