Keith Allen Sullivan, 55, son of the late Bobby Avery Sullivan and Virginia Lee Wendling, confident of God’s forgiveness through Christ’s death and resurrection, entered the presence of our Lord on Saturday, September 25, 2021.

Keith was born in Leesburg, Florida on October 27, 1965. He never left his hometown, grew up here and graduated from LHS in 1983. He started playing baseball at a young age and played for the Leesburg Yellow Jackets while in high school. He also loved to bowl. He was a true country boy at heart and loved to hunt and fish. When hunting, it did not matter to him whether he came home with anything because he enjoyed the peacefulness of nature. His favorite fish to catch was a snook because they always put up a little fight and he enjoyed that challenge. He was a true fan of the Dallas Cowboys, an avid Tar Heels Fan, enjoyed the Atlanta Braves and of course, a Gator fan. Carrying on the “Sullivan tradition,” Keith had three incredible sons that he adored and loved deeply. Keith’s family was the very essence of his being.

Keith worked at Citizens National Bank in his early 20’s, then went on to sell real estate and become a real estate broker. He also owned his own lawn and landscape business (Sullivan Properties) for many years. Through those jobs, he met many friends along the way. If you were lucky enough to call Keith your friend, you knew you had a friend for life.

Keith had a long and courageous battle with cancer beginning in December 2019. He fought a valiant fight until our Lord decided he had fought long enough. He passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving wife, sons, daughter in love, granddaughter, and sister-in-law. His faith was strong even when he took his last breath.

Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby and Virginia Sullivan. He is survived by his wife, Paula, their sons, Austin Taylor (Scott Stone), Zachary Payton (Courtney Leigh), Mason Wyatt, the apple of his eye, his sweet granddaughter, Everleigh Joan, and three brothers, Bobby (Kathy), Ricky (Angie) and Scotty.

Keith’s celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 10:30 am at Good News Church, 400 Executive Boulevard, Leesburg, FL 34748, internment following at Lone Oak Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please help support cancer patients in financial need by making a charitable donation to the Florida Cancer Specialist Foundation at fcsf.org.
