Douglas Robison

Douglas A. Robison, age 67, was called to Heaven on March 3rd, 2021.

He was born on April 5th, 1953 in Lebanon, Indiana to his parents William and Clara Robison. He moved to Leesburg, Florida with his family in his early teen years, and is a 1973 graduate of Leesburg High School. After high school, he did a short tour in the United States Air Force and was Honorably Discharged. Soon after, he attended the Florida State Fire College, he was a proud Firefighter/EMT. He started his career at Tavares Fire Department, and then worked for Reedy Creek at the Walt Disney World Resort for over 30 years, where he was a member of the original honor guard and where he later retired. In his spare time, he was an avid outdoorsman, he has a lifelong passion for hunting and fishing. He fished competitively and for pleasure. He hunted for many years in the hills of Georgia, enjoying being in the serenity of nature.

Doug is survived by his wife of 42 years, Cheryl Robison; his son, Robert (Sara) Robison; his daughters, Heather (Randy) Watkins, Erin (Nic) Nowlan; his seven grandchildren, who were adored, Abigail, Bella, Henry, Vivian, Cole, Joel, and Lorelei; his siblings, Brenda (Roy) Sullivan, Donna Proctor, and Steve (Stephanie) Robison, Bill (Samara) Robison; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 in The Buck Room at 200 E. Main Street Leesburg, Florida 34748.
