Leesburg firefighters tackle blaze that erupted in passenger vehicle

Crews from Leesburg Fire Rescue battled a vehicle fire Thursday afternoon.

Two engines and a battalion chief joined other firefighters in tackling the blaze in a passenger car that was parked in the front yard of a residence in the 3700 block of Picciola Road, across from the Overlook at Lake Griffin subdivision.

There were no injuries reported and the fire remains under investigation.
