A Tavares woman was arrested for driving with a license recently suspended for driving under the influence after being stopped for speeding.
An officer stopped 33-year-old Jaleesa Nicole Bradford for going 42 miles per hour in a 25-mph zone on Pine Ridge Dairy Road at 11 a.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department.

She had her driver’s license with her, which was used to determine that her license had been suspended. The reasons included DUIs, an unpaid traffic fine and a habitual traffic violator designation. She also had two prior convictions for driving with a suspended license, the report said.
Bradford was then arrested on charges of driving while license suspended (habitual traffic offender) and driving while license suspended with two prior convictions (most recent for DUI). She was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $12,500 bond.
