Dozens of golfers gathered at a Leesburg golf course recently to honor the memory of Bradley Michael Link, a Lake County Master Deputy who was ambushed and killed in the line of duty last August.

Plantation Golf Club hosted the First Annual Bradley Link Memorial Golf Tournament on Saturday, May 24, at its golf course in Leesburg (4720 Plantation Blvd).

According to event organizers, a total of $11,702.50 was raised to benefit the Lake County Sheriff’s Charity Fund.

The event featured a golf scramble, with the winning team of Kevin Casilli, Larry Labrecque, Dave Wimberly, and Nick Stefanac shooting 21 under par.

The tournament honored multiple local law enforcement individuals who had lost their lives in the line of duty, including Link, who was killed on August 2, 2024, while responding to a call in Eustis.

After Link’s death, a local woman was arrested and charged with his murder.

According to his obituary, Link was known for his big heart, special friendships, and dedication to others, serving his family as diligently as he served his community.

From a young age, Link’s family says he dreamed of serving people, protecting communities, and safeguarding others. That dedication to service was exhibited in every step of his life.

A United States Army Reserve veteran, Link served with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office for over four and a half years after spending two years serving with the Polk County Sheriff’s Office. In his teenage years, Link served as an Explorer with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
