A woman has been charged in the fatal shooting of a Lake County sheriff’s deputy.

Julie Ann Sulpizio, 48, of Eustis is charged with murder, attempted murder and battery in the Friday ambush attack at her home in Eustis that claimed the life of Master Sheriff’s Deputy Bradley Link. Two other deputies, Stefano Gargano and Harold Howell, were also wounded.

Sheriff Peyton Grinnell said Sulpizio was attempting to lure neighbors into the home where her husband, Michael, was planning to kill them.

When deputies arrived, Julie Sulpizio urged them to enter the home for a well-being check on those inside. Link, 28, was killed in a hail of gunfire when he entered the home. Ultimately, Michael Sulpizio died of what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound along with the couple’s daughters.

Sulpizio continues to be held without bond at the Lake County Jail.

A Celebration of Life and Memorial Service for Master Deputy Bradley Link will be held on Saturday, Aug. 10, at 11 a.m. at Real Life Christian Church, 1501 Steve’s Road in Clermont. The service will also be live streamed for those who are not able to attend in person.
