A deputy responded to a battery complaint at an undisclosed Groveland residence around 7 p.m. Sunday, according to an arrest report from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. The deputy was advised that the victim stated his wife, 52-year-old Nannette Dolanski, pushed him and broke his glasses.

Upon arrival, the deputy met with the victim outside of the residence. He explained that he was in a verbal argument with Dolanski, his wife of nine years, due to finances. She got up from the chair where she was using the computer and approached him in an aggressive manner, yelling in his face, the report said.

Dolanski then took her right hand and shoved it in the victim’s face, pushing his glasses to the top of his head and cutting the inside of his mouth. She continued to yell at him while walking throughout the residence, at which time he was able to separate himself, the report said.

The deputy next spoke to Dolanski who advised that the victim became irate when he learned she moved money from their savings account to their checking account. He approached her aggressively before pressing his face against hers. In self-defense, she used both hands and pushed his face away from her. He continued to yell, at which time he spit at her, hitting her face, the report said.

While speaking to the victim, the deputy observed a small abrasion to the right side of the inside of his mouth. He did not notice any bruising, markings or injuries to Dolanski, the report said.

The West Virginia native was subsequently arrested for simple battery (domestic) and transported to Lake County Jail. Bond was set at $1,000.
