James Boliek
January 4, 1947 – March 25, 2024
James ‘Jim’ Boliek, aged 77, of Leesburg, Florida passed away on March 25, 2024. Jim was born January 4, 1947 in Leesburg and graduated from Leesburg High School in 1965.
Jim’s warm and friendly personality made him a natural at his career in sales. After selling cars for many years, he moved to the position of Residential Sales Manager at Lake Glass and Mirror, Inc., enjoying the most cherished season in his career. After retiring, he put his heart into the care of the Smokey Hollow Family Farm, making it more beautiful than ever.
Jim had a passion for sports and the outdoors. He played baseball in high school, fueling his love for the Tampa Bay Rays and Florida Gators baseball teams. Jim loved to fish and hunt so much that he tattooed a snook and a fish hook on each of his arms.
Jim centered his life on his family and Jesus Christ. It was his mission to leave a legacy of love for his children and grandchildren. He served as a deacon at South Pointe Baptist Church before attending and leading small groups at Heritage Community Church in Fruitland Park. He gave back to the community through his role as a past Shriner.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Boliek; son, Chad (Angie) of Fruitland Park; daughters Lori Carroll of Fruitland Park and Carie Fanning (Michael) of Los Alamos, New Mexico; brother, Richard Boliek (Glenda) of Leesburg; nine Grandchildren: Chandler, Caylen, Easton, Beckham, Lyndsey, Blake, Brianne, Stephanie, and Katherine; and two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Atticus. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Louise Boliek.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for charitable donations to be made in memory of Jim to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
