June 19, 1945 – March 22, 2024

With great sorrow and bittersweet memories, the Ross family announce the passing of our warmhearted, generous, caring and kind, Carol Connolly Ross, who passed unexpectedly on March 22, 2024 at her home in Leesburg, Florida.

Carol was a loving wife and mother dedicated to her family and is survived by her beloved husband of almost 60 years, Anthony (aka Tony or Butch) Ross, her five children, Kelley-Ross Robinson, Michael Ross, Mark Ross, James Ross and Christopher Ross, as well as three devoted daughter -in laws Shauna Ross, Lisa Ross and Paula Tsalapatas and Son -in law Paul Robinson.

Carol leaves a long legacy with 15 grandchildren and 9 great-Grandchildren and a plethora of nieces and nephews and chosen family she had collected over her lifetime. Carol was preceded in death by her brother Edward Connolly and her daughter-in law Robin Ross.

Carol was passionate about her Irish heritage and was a long-time member of the ladies auxiliary of the Hibernians. As a humanitarian deeply invested in philanthropy she volunteered and later worked for Bread and Roses and Neighbors in Need and was the shepherd of the Adopt-A-Family food drive for Thanksgiving meals for the needy and the Adopt-A-Family gift drive that provided families in need with presents at Christmas.

May Carol find eternal peace and comfort in the arms of Angels!

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Steverson, Hamlin and Hilbish Funerals and Cremations at 226 E. Burleigh Blvd., Tavares, Fl 32778 on Wednesday April 3,2024 from 2 -4 PM. A Mass will be held at Saint Paul Catholic Church, 1330 Sunshine Ave, Leesburg, Fl.34748. on Thursday April 4,2024 at 8:30 AM with Burial following at Lakeside Memory Gardens, 36601 C.R. 19 A North, Eustis, Fl 32726.
