Wanna Sue Pharr
December 29, 1934 – February 8, 2024
Wanna Sue Pharr, 89, of Leesburg, FL, began her Heavenly journey on February 8, 2024.
Wanna was born on December 29, 1934, in Statesville, NC, to her loving parents; Fred and Beulah (Overcash) Levan.
In the seventh grade, Wanna met the love of her life, William Pharr. On August 27, 1955, they married and eventually moved to Florida in 1957. Wanna and William joined the First Baptist Church of Leesburg, and remained devoted members for over 55 years.
Wanna enjoyed playing tennis and sewing in her free time, she worked as a secretary and retired from the City of Leesburg after 10 years. Wanna was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be remembered fondly for spoiling her daughter, Dee-Dee, and spoiling her grandchildren even more.
Wanna is survived by her beloved husband of 68 years, William Pharr, a daughter, Dee-Dee Bitter and her husband, Randy, two grandchildren: Austin (Heather) and Alex (Brittany), as well as two precious great-grandchildren: Addison and Avery.
Wanna is preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Sherwyn. Memorial contributions can be made in Wanna Sue Pharr’s loving memory to Cornerstone Hospice in Tavares, FL.
