Nancy Liptak, 93, passed away peacefully at her home in Eustis Florida on Tuesday December 5, 2023. Born August 17, 1930, she was the youngest daughter of the late Pietro and Domenica Toscano of Sharpsville PA. Nancy lived in Sharpsville for 65 years where she was an active member of Saint Bartholomew’s Catholic Church.

She married John P. Liptak Jr. of Struthers OH on June 26, 1954. Together, they enjoyed dancing to polka music, attending their son’s basketball games, and taking day trips to explore the new sites and the beauty of Pennsylvania and Ohio.

She owned and operated Nancy’s Beauty Shop and was an instructor at the School of Cosmetology. Nancy loved to brag on her hometown of Sharpsville PA, the town where Santa visits every home on Christmas Eve. She played an essential role in the Service Club by preparing the Santa suits and beards, ensuring each Santa was dressed and groomed to perfection before setting out to visit the homes.

Nancy relocated to Florida in 1995 with her husband and she continued to enjoy golfing, taking day trips around Florida, and learning new programs on her computer. She was an active member and office volunteer at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Mount Dora Florida where she had attended her last weekly meeting of the Martha Society just one day before her passing. Nancy will be remembered for her high energy, motivated spirit, and sense of humor.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband John Liptak Jr, her brother Joseph Toscano, four sisters, Anne Stacconi (Buffalo NY), Josephine Benetto (Sharpsville PA), Palma Rossi (Apopka FL) and Katherine Toscano (Farrell PA), and nephew Raymond Benetto (Warren OH). She is survived by her son John P Liptak III (Eustis FL) and several nieces and nephews.
