Rosario (Rose) Brown transitioned (passed) on Sunday morning December 10, 2023 under Hospice Care from her Leesburg home to her new home in Heaven.

Throughout Calendar Year 2023, she battled Stage IV Pancreatic Cancer, Rose continued to practice and bowled 2 times a week until her chemotherapy failed to arrest her cancer growth, she was very active, fun loving, loved her grandchildren, gardening, dancing, singing and fishing. She courageously had semiweekly Chemotherapy for 8 months until the growth of Cancer could not be retarded anymore.

Rose was born on November 29, 1942 in Navotas Rizal Philippines, on May 18, 1976 in San Francisco she completed all requirements and became a U.S. Citizen. She joked that she was a Domestic Engineer (homemaker and excellent cook). Rose was very cheerful, beautiful, fun loving, and optimistic until her last Chemotherapy on Thursday November 16, 2023; when her quality of life rapidly declined and she was hospitalized. She did not want to remain in the hospital and elected to go home on Wednesday November 22, 2023; where she was able to celebrate Thanksgiving and her 81st Birthday with her loved ones, family and friends.

Rose met her husband Jerry Brown in Alameda CA, Jerry was in the Navy working as a military policemen (MP) at the time in the summer of 1975. Jerry and his MP partner had a federal warrant for Rose’s roommate’s husband. Jerry was the front door man while his partner was in the back yard apprehender. Jerry knocked on the door, announced his purpose, and was greeted by Rose. While his back yard partner was busy chasing the suspect, Jerry made a date with Rose, they fell in love, and they were married in Oakland CA on December 28, 1976.

Rose is survived by her husband Jerry, their 10 year old Pomeranian Chihuahua Mix-Goldyboy, and her adult children: Ron, Keith, Tina and Aaron. She also has 5 grandkids: Zach, Zeke, Cathia, Cyria and Cecelia. Her great granddaughter Luna is expected to make her debut in March of 2024.
