William Edwin Bauman

William “Bill” Edwin Bauman of Grand Island, Florida passed away on Monday December 4, 2023, at the age of 81. He was born to his parents Edwin and Geraldine Bauman in Richmond, Michigan on March 18, 1942. He was a member of the United States Military and worked as a truck driver in construction. On November 11, 1978, he married the love of his life Marilyn Bauman. In 2008 they moved to Grand Island, Florida. Bill built and assisted at the Sun Lake Volunteer Fire Department. His hobbies included riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, boating, watching Nascar, and being around friends.
Bill is survived by his wife of 45 years Marilyn Bauman; children Joseph Prapotnick, Catherine (Alf-Kare) Riisnaes, and Stanley (Sara) Prapotnick; stepsister Karen Chamberlin; grandchildren Elisabeth Riisnaes, Karoline Riisnaes, and Ryan Riisnaes.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to go to the Sun Lake Volunteer Fire Department.
