January 8, 1966 – December 2, 2023

Ruth Danico Peji, born in Las Piñas, Philippines, began her remarkable life voyage on January 8th, 1966. She peacefully departed this world on December 2, 2023, in Mount Dora, Florida, reunited with her beloved father in eternal peace.

Ruth, 57, was a tireless worker from a young age, embarking on a journey that led her to create a positive impact on the lives of many. She founded the Lake Eustis Adult Family Care Home and the Elders of Mount Dora Assisted Living Facility, where her dedication and compassion touched the lives of over 20 individuals who required care and support in their daily activities. She made sure these individuals were always treated like family, and that they had comfort in their final days as well. Her commitment to making a difference in the lives of others resonated in every endeavor she undertook. She demonstrated an unwavering work ethic that would define her lifetime.

A seasoned traveler, Ruth’s adventurous spirit took her across the globe, always with a goal of supporting her family back home in the Philippines. After first embarking on her journey at age 21 to England, Ruth subsequently lived in Alabama, Germany, Montana, and Japan, before settling in the sunshine state of Florida.

Ruth was a woman of diverse interests and passions. She loved fishing, bowling, collecting, and snagging good deals through couponing or thrifting. She loved to be outside, trying her best attempt at gardening. Her family cherishes the memories of cozy scary movie nights with her children and the spirited moments of cheering (well, screaming) at the TV during college basketball games.

She is survived by her loving mother, Rubina Eusebio; her devoted husband, Jermaine Ronald Peji; three daughters, Sophia Honeycutt (32), Shawntel Williams (28), and Isabella Peji (13); two sons, Sean Williams (25) and Rolan Montgomery (18), and two grandsons, Kellan Honeycutt (10) and Joel Honeycutt (7).

In addition to her immediate family, Ruth leaves behind cherished memories with her four sisters: Rebecca Puzon, Rosemarie Reformado, Racquel San Juan, and Rosanna Perez, and her three brothers: Dennis Eusebio, Darwin Eusebio, and Dean Eusebio.

Ruth was a devout member of the Iglesia ni Cristo church, where her faith brought her solace and strength throughout her life.

Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew her, as a woman of immense resilience, kindness, and boundless love. As we celebrate her life, let us cherish the moments we shared and honor the legacy she leaves behind.

Let us remember Ruth for the love she shared and the lives she touched.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to help defray the cost of her passing below.
