Betty Jane Gill, 90, of Leesburg, FL went to be with Jesus peacefully at home surrounded by family members on Wednesday November 29, 2023.
Betty was born March 27th, 1933 in Pittsburgh, PA to Thomas and Betty “Lovey” Ellerton. She was very close to her sister, Barbara, who she loved dearly. They told each other everything and talked daily. She graduated #1 in her class at Robert Morris University, before marrying the love of her life, Raymond Gill on March 24, 1956. She stayed home to raise her three boys and was a devoted wife and mother. Betty was a light to everyone she met and her smile would light up an entire room. She had a strong faith and loved God, reading the Bible was a part of her daily life as was helping those in need and putting others before herself.
Betty is survived by her children: Raymond (Athena) Gill, Grant (Cherie) Gill, Kent (Jill) Gill; grandchildren: Raymond JR (Candice) Gill, Ryan Gill, Joshua (Katie) Gill, Victoria (Bryan) Eyerly, Madeline Gill, Ben Gill; great grandchildren: Apollo, Alivia, Bentley, Carrera, Carson, Liam, RT, Charlotte, Elanor, Mikaela; sister Barbara (Roy) Clingan; niece Beth (Don) Jones; nephew Mark (Beth) Clingan, beloved cousin Sylvia Otto, and dear friends Bob Smith and Sandy Kurland. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years Raymond, granddaughter, Erin Gill, and beloved friend Sandy Smith.
Betty will be greatly missed by all her family and loved ones, but we rest assured knowing she is now our angel dancing in Heaven!
