FHP investigating death of motorcyclist who had attended Leesburg Bikefest

The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking the public help’s in solving the mystery of a motorcyclist who died after attending Leesburg Bikefest in 2021.

The FHP on Thursday issued a fresh appeal for information in the death of Alexander “Ozzy” Osborne, whose motorcycle crashed shortly before midnight, Nov. 13, 2021 on the Florida Turnpike in Okeechobee County.

Osborne was pronounced deceased on the scene. Further investigation revealed that Osborne had also been shot. He had been traveling south after attending Bikefest.

Due to the rural location of the incident and lack of eyewitnesses to the shooting, FHP is seeking the public’s help. The agency is requesting that anyone with information on this incident to contact the FHP.
