Darlene K. Dodson, 71, of Leesburg, FL, passed away on September 18, 2023, at the hospital surrounded by loved ones.
Darlene was born on December 28, 1951, in Leesburg, FL and was the daughter of the late Richard Harold Ledward and Edna (Hall) Ledward. She graduated from Leesburg High School. She went on to work in the office at Burnit and Sims, Henry Sapp Tile and Carpet, worked alongside her loving husband in his carpentry business and she was also a caregiver. She was a dedicated Christian and loved her Christian family at Countryside Baptist Church in Fruitland Park, FL.
Darlene is survived by her loving fur-baby, Chance, two sisters, Gaye Smith of Cornersville,TN and Iris (Jimmy) Bates of Leesburg, FL, 5 Nephews, 6 Nieces, 13 Great-Nephews, 4 Great-Nieces, 8 Great-Great Nephews, and 14 Great-Great Nieces. Predeceased by her loving husband, Beaux Dodson, 2 sisters, Joan Terrell and Marcella Boettcher and her brother, William (Bill) Ledward.
Darlene will be laid to rest at Lone Oak Cemetery in Leesburg on Friday, 9/29, at 11:00 a.m. during a graveside service officiated by Pastor John Strickland.
