A man from Umatilla has been killed in a collision with a truck in Lake County.
The accident occurred at 5:39 p.m. Friday on State Road 46 at Wekiva Pine Boulevard in Sorrento.
The 42-year-old Umatilla man had been driving a 2009 Hyundai Sonata westbound on State Road 46 when he veered into the direct path of a 2022 Ford E-350, which had been traveling in the opposite direction, according to an accident report from the Florida Highway Patrol. The two vehicles collided.
The Umatilla man was transported by ambulance to Central Florida Regional Hospital and pronounced dead.
The 49-year-old male from Deltona who was driving the truck and his 14-year-old male passenger were also transported to CFR Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
