Addison Emory Wimberley, aka Rex, passed away on August 26, 2023. Rex was born on December 3, 1936 in Tarboro, North Carolina. He proudly served in the Coast Guard for 26 years. After retiring in Las Vegas in 1981 he met and married Debbie 37 years ago. Rex and Debbie moved to Leesburg, Florida in 2003. Rex enjoyed the mild weather, especially the days on the golf course and socializing with friends.
He will surely be missed by many. He is survived by his wife and step daughter, his three children, Laura Stofferson, Pam Sheperd and Addison Wimberley Jr. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
