Patricia “Pat” Rauth Carter (76) passed away on September 7, 2023, in Grand Island, Florida. Pat was born on June 19, 1947, in Lakewood, Ohio and attended Renwood Elementary, Pleasant Valley Junior High, and Valley Forge High School, located in Parma, Ohio. Pat also attended Seminole Community College located in Lake Mary, Florida.

Pat enjoyed a long career in the electronics industry and was a member of the team which manufactured the very first facsimile machine in the United States when, in the late 1970s, she worked for Qwip Systems, a division of Exxon Enterprise.

Pat loved her family and friends and being outdoors working in her vegetable garden. Pat’s brother, James, most recently gave her the title of, “Patty Caddy,” for carting him around on the community golf course.

Pat is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Vera Rauth; sisters, Barbara Boyington and Mary “Carolyn” Boring. She is survived by daughters Kelly Pacy (Dave), Winter Springs, FL and Patty Clement (Kevin), Candler, NC; her brothers, James Rauth, Grand Island, FL, Robert VanDyke (Clare), Ponce Inlet, FL and Ron Rauth (Karen), Longwood, FL. Pat is also survived by her grandchildren, Tieghan Blankenship (Drew), Heather Clement (Chris Embler), Anthony Pacy, McKay Clement, and Nicholas Pacy; great-grandson Evan Blankenship, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, from 3-5pm at Baldwin Brothers, a Funeral Home and Cremation Society located at 1350 E. Burleigh Blvd, Tavares, FL 32778.
