A Kissimmee man was arrested after he allegedly bit his pregnant girlfriend during an argument in a Clermont hotel.

Joseph Andre Winder, 21, was charged with aggravated domestic battery on a pregnant female after the incident, which happened around 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13 at the Woodspring Suites, located at 16311 State Road 50.

An officer responded to a report of a battery at the hotel and first spoke with Winder, who said he got home from work and got into an argument with his live-in girlfriend, who is 15 weeks pregnant, according to an arrest report from the Clermont Police Department.

Winder said his girlfriend started attacking him and bit his right shoulder. He said he defended himself and started pushing and punching her back. A bite mark was visible on his right shoulder, the report said.

The officer then spoke to Winder’s girlfriend, who said Winder started punching her on the back of the head. She claimed to have fought back and bit him, but Winder bit her on the right leg first, leaving a bite mark in that area. She further advised that Winder was aware she was pregnant with someone else’s child, the report said.

Due to conflicting statements, both subjects were placed under arrest. Winder was taken to the Lake County Jail, where he was released after posting $5,000 bond.
