Kenneth Leroy Huffman Jr., 72, Leesburg, Florida passed away suddenly on June 12, 2023 at UF Health Sands Hospital. Kenneth was born September 13, 1950 in Lansing, Michigan to his parents Kenneth Leroy Huffman and Helen (Case) Huffman.

Kenny and his loving wife Bev moved to Leesburg in 2017, after testing out various Florida locales after they left Michigan in 2012 to retire in Florida. He was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran who served 4 years during Vietnam as a Navy Seal earning a National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and Navy Unit commendation Ribbon. He is honored on the Navy Seal wall at Veterans Memorial Park in Leesburg.

Ken was a retired Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Commercial Technician with over 45 years of experience. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman. When he wasn’t working, he was fishing or hunting. He was an excellent marksman and he enjoyed shooting. He was also a superb gourmet cook. He was funny and kind and always went out of his way to help if you needed help. He was dependable and he always did his best. There wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do for his family. He was very loved and will be greatly missed.

Kenny is survived by his loving wife of almost 49 years: Beverly ” Bev” Sue (Harper) Huffman of Leesburg FL: three children: Tina Marie Evans and her husband Kenny of Ortonville, Michigan, Adria Leigh Catalano and her husband Jay of Auburn Hills, Michigan, Aaron Stuart Huffman and his fiancé Robin Baker of Rochester, Michigan. He also leaves behind grandchildren- Nicholas, Alyssa and Eric Evans, Kariel, Brenda, Brandon Hysell, Austin, Isaiah Knapp. He is also survived by his two sisters, Sherri Huffman, Carolyn Ramey and husband Edward, niece Paula and Bill Fulton.

A military commitment ceremony with honors will be held on August 25th at 2:30 pm at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly MI where he will be laid to rest with his fellow veterans.
