Beverly Anne Murphy, 89 of Leesburg, Florida passed away on July 27, 2023.

She was born on February 19, 1934 in New Bedford, Massachusetts. She was a member of Celebration Baptist Church and loved playing cards and games, reading, knitting, and going to the beach. Beverly had a servant’s heart and was a loving person who thrilled with helping everyone. She loved her little house in Hawthorne and her many friends in the community. But more than anything, she loved spending time with her family. Give her a second and she will tell you all about her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids. She would tell everyone how lucky she was and how blessed her life had been. Over the years as her grandkids started getting married she would be so excited to get her entire family together so that she could add to the collection of photos on her refrigerator. In her prayers she would tell Joe “look at what we made”.

She is survived by her children Michael & Lori Murphy of Loxahatchee, FL, Danny & Rosemary Murphy of Jacksonville, FL, Erin Marie & Ron Coleman of Flowery Branch, GA, Katie & Steve Murphy-Shepard of Oakwood, Georgia and Tim & Ken Murphy-Jackson of Atlanta, GA,; her grandkids: Ryan, Joseph “JD”, Daniel, Stephen, Mary Kathryn, Ashley, Sean, Sammy, Christen, Holly; her great-grandkids: Gwendolyn, Benjamin, Thomas Joseph, Axel, Isaac, Olivia, Hendrix; and her sister-in-law Shirley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Joseph, granddaughter Megan, brother Donald and sister Barbara.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2:00 PM at Celebration Baptist Church in Leesburg, Florida. Beverly will be buried with her husband at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida privately.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America in Beverly’s memory.
