The Leesburg Masonic Lodge was destroyed by a fire Wednesday night.
Leesburg Fire Rescue responded to the blaze at 200 Richey Road at 10:38 p.m. Units also responded from Lake County Fire Rescue and Eustis.
The building was declared a total loss.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The lodge has a long history in Leesburg. The Grand Master of the 15th Masonic District of Florida recently visited the Leesburg lodge. The lodge was also used by ladies of the Eastern Star as well as a voting precinct by the Lake County Supervisor of Elections Office.
The Wildwood Masonic Lodge has volunteered the use of its facilities for the Leesburg lodge members.
