John William Sedman IV

John William Sedman IV (Billy) passed away unexpectedly on April 28, 2023. Billy was born December 28,1976 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The family moved to their Lake County home permanently in 1977; Billy being 8 months old at that time. He attended all Lake County Schools; graduating from Tavares High School in 1995. While at THS, he participated in football, baseball, weightlifting and other sports.

The unexpected sudden loss of Billy has left many heartbroken…To know Billy was to love Billy!! He lived life to the Fullest; work or play was the same, he did both like a rockstar! He grew up loving Fast Boats and Big Trucks, spending much time speeding around Lake Eustis. He was a wonderful, caring, polite, and precious Son, Grandson, Brother, The Best Uncle, and cousin.

Billy is survived by his parents, John W Sedman III (Bill) and Patsy, his sisters, Stacey Lauster (Jeff), Sherry Sedman (Kev Rock), Nieces Serenity Lauster, Piper Sedman and nephew Jett Lauster, Uncle Charles Massey (Cindy), Uncle Fred R. Sedman, Aunt Judy Massey and cousins: Jaime Lynn Massey (Serena), Jason Massey (Michelle), Brittany Massey Kephart (Zack) & children, Krista Massey Angier (Dustin) & children, Eddie Massey. He was pre-deceased by Maternal grandparents: James E Massey Sr. and Laurette Massey, paternal grandparents: John W. Sedman Sr., Florell “Odie” Thomas & Howard Thomas (Grandma & Grandpa Odie), Uncle James E. Massey Jr. (Uncle Jimmy) and Craig R. Sedman (Uncle Craig), and his beloved dog, Junior.

A Celebration of Love will be held Saturday, May 20, 2023 at First Baptist Church, Umatilla, FL at 1pm. Flowers—Ariels Flowers, Tavares, FL (352-343-6600) www.arielsflowersandgifts.com will deliver to the Church for the Celebration of Love on Saturday morning 5/20/23.

Donations may be made to Baptist Health Heart Institute, Jacksonville, FL. Billy said God and Baptist Heart Institute saved his Momma’s life (just 6 months ago).
