A driver was arrested at Ace’s Towing headquarters on West North Boulevard in Leesburg after running up expenses at Wawa using the company credit card.

The business manager discovered that 35-year-old Matthew David Ficca of Leesburg had been using the company credit card issued to him to purchase fuel for his personal use. The business manager told the Leesburg police officer investigating the theft that Ficca began using the card to buy fuel at the Leesburg Wawa in June. Ficca made 17 unauthorized purchases totaling $1,018.95 with the last unauthorized use occurring earlier this month.

When the officer spoke on Friday to Ficca regarding the alleged credit card misuse, Ficca spontaneously told the officer that he had used the credit card for personal expenses, according to the arrest report.

Ficca was charged with grand theft over $1,000 and fraudulent use of a credit card. He was booked at the Lake County Jail and released after posting $4,000 bond.
