A suspect identified to police as a “bald headed b*tch” with a boxcutter has entered a plea in court.
Sharon L. Woods, 59, of Leesburg, has pleaded not guilty in Lake County Court to charges of aggravated battery with bodily harm and burglary to an automobile with battery. She remains free on $10,000 bond.
Leesburg police were dispatched Sept. 11 to the intersection of South East Street and Ferguson Avenue. On the way to that location they received a description of the alleged attacker and detained her near the crime scene.
The victim told the officers that 59-year-old Sharon L. Woods had gotten into an argument with her as Woods was walking past her car. Woods claims the victim had said to a third party, “That’s why the bald headed b*tch doesn’t have anywhere to stay,” according to the Leesburg officer’s arrest report. The victim claimed Woods slashed her on her left leg by reaching into the victim’s car and slashing her left leg with a boxcutter. The officers saw a seven-inch cut on the victim’s left calf and a half-inch cut on her left thigh. They also took pictures of blood in the woman’s car and on her driveway.
