Edwin “Rob” Robbins died peacefully at home at age 89 in Fruitland Park, Florida, on July 17, 2022, surrounded by his family.
He was born in Hazard, Kentucky, on August 10, 1932, to Letha and Tunis Robbins, Sr. He was an avid fisherman who loved both Appalachian and country music. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1952 and was honorably discharged with commendations. After his discharge, he worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as an electronics technician.
Rob is survived by his loving wife Wanda Ruth Spicer Robbins; his 2 children Les Campbell and Lisa Morrison (Michael); his sister Irene Gaines of Woodland, CA; his brother Sherman Robbins of Evansville, Indiana; 3 grandchildren: Lesley Ray (Ryan), Rebecca Dugre, Kandiss Campbell; 2 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Letha and Tunis Sr. and brothers Albert and Tunis Jr.
