John P. Vahey, Jr. (Jack) 78 of Eustis, Florida passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at his home with his wife at his side. Jack was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts on September 10, 1943 to John and Myrtle Vahey.
He married his high school sweetheart, Rosemary Vahey. They had 3 children and 9 grandchildren: Kimberly Menard (William) children: Austin and Audra Menard, Jeff Vahey children: Ben, Luke, and Jeffrey, Chris Vahey (Lisa) children: Kate Johnson, Keriann Kuzman, Mackenzie and Fred Vahey. He is also survived by two sisters: Lee Scott of Colville, Washington and Brenda Horanburg (Martin) of Newfane, New York.
After graduation from Niagara Community College in 1967, Jack entered the field of business. His first jobs were in sales, but he soon started his own business, Salina Office Services, later venturing into real estate. After moving to Florida in 1997 he created his own brokerage firm called Mid- Florida Real Estate. Jack was president of Mid- Florida MLS in 2007-2008.
Jack battled cancer for several years. He will be remembered for his love of family, generosity, hard work ethic, and honesty.

Family and friends are invited to gather for viewing on Monday, May 9th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Mass is scheduled for Tuesday, May 10th at 10:00 AM at St. Mary of the Lakes Catholic Church in Eustis. He will be laid to rest after Mass at Greenwood Cemetery, Eustis.
