Duane Roger Winters, age 89, of Tavares passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022. He was born October 30, 1932 in Johnson City, NY. He was a retired marketing manager in the electric and gas utility business. He was a member of the Elks Lodge. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, VeVa Winters of Tavares, FL; sons, David Winters of Orlando, FL, Dean Winters of Groveland, FL, Daniel Winters of Morganton, NC; daughters, Debbie Winters of Groveland, FL, Donna Winters of Clermont, FL; step-son, Michael Huizenga of Continental, OH; step-daughter, Brenda Abney of Davenport, IA; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 from 11:00AM until 12:00PM at Steverson Hamlin & Hilbish Funeral Home, Tavares.
