New building official joins Leesburg staff after stint with Lake County

Ann Kinsey

The City of Leesburg has hired a new building official.

Ann Kinsey, who most recently served as Plans Examiner for Lake County Building Services, started her new job on Friday. She is licensed by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation as a Building Code Administrator. And she holds numerous plans examination and inspection licenses.

Along with her field experience, Kinsey is certified to teach several building inspection classes and is a published author.

“Ann brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to our community,” said City Manager Al Minner. “Her background and skills, both in and out of the building field, will allow her to make a big impact on how the city deals with contractors and residents, as well as addressing our goals in the Building Division.

“I am excited to have Ann on board and know she will make a great addition to our team,” Minner added.
