Expect traffic delays, congestion during Leesburg Bikefest

Residents, visitors and merchants are being warned to expect traffic delays and congestion, as well as street and parking lot closures, as crews begin to set up for this weekend’s Leesburg Bikefest.
The event, which begins Friday and runs through Sunday, is expected to bring in more than a quarter million motorcycle enthusiasts and visitors from throughout the United States.
Leesburg Bikefest, in its 22nd year, is the world’s largest three-day motorcycle and music event. It takes place in 30 blocks and features more than 55 concerts, 200 vendors and many different bike shows.
Leesburg’s Municipal Services Center and City Hall will close Friday, with the customer service drive-through payment window closing at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Leesburg Public Library will close at 5 p.m. Thursday and remain closed for the entire weekend. All city offices will reopen Monday.
