Dolores Hewey Joll, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away on March 10, 2024, in Leesburg, Florida. She was 80 years old.

Born on July 26, 1943, in Springfield, Massachusetts, Dolores lived a life filled with love, compassion, and kindness. She was a pillar of strength for her family and touched the lives of countless others.

Dolores was married to Jerry Diagneault for an 50 years. As a devoted mother, Dolores leaves behind a legacy of love and care. She is survived by her children Paul, Ronald, Laurie, Bryen, and Julie, grandchildren Timothy, Derrick, Alison, Kyle, Alan, Andre, Matthew, Bryen Jr, Stephanie, Destiny, Devon, Eli and Levi; and many great-grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them, imparting wisdom, laughter, and unwavering support.

Her impact extended beyond her immediate family. Dolores was a dedicated employee of the Orange County School System for 30 years. Her roles as a custodian, cafeteria worker, and extra session caregiver allowed her to connect with students across various schools. She brightened their days, always seeking ways to make them smile. It was not uncommon for her to notice a child performing a good deed and offer a heartfelt reward.

Throughout her career, Dolores left an indelible mark on the students of Union Park Elementary, Chickasaw Elementary, Boone High School, and Lakeville Elementary. Her genuine care and compassion made a difference in their lives, and her legacy lives on through the countless smiles she inspired.

Dolores Hewey Joll’s spirit of kindness, generosity, and love will forever resonate with those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her children and grandchildren carry forward her legacy, continuing to spread warmth and compassion in her memory.
