Karen Barrett Carpenter, 62, of Eustis, Fl. Passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023.

Born in Abilene, Texas, she moved to Eustis in 1988 from Yuma, AZ. Before her being in retail management, Karen had a large landscape and nursery operation” Sir Plants A Lot” of Fruitland Park FL servicing largely in the Villages in Lady Lake; she also had two retail stores in Leesburg and Mt. Dora FL. Karen also worked for the Department of Children & Families as an administrator in the late 80s. Karen achieved Master Garden status and continued to use her skills throughout her life.

Karen continued much more of her deep Love and commitment in the Equine Community She has won many trophies and first place ribbons in Rodeo expeditions, She was an expert using The DownUnder Horsemanship Method and Monty Roberts training. Karen loved her trail rides with her husband and friends where she could go straight from their property onto an 800-acre parcel with beautiful trees and lakes and then trailer out on other occasions. She was Very devout to Her grandchildren devoting countless hours to their schooling and care that has allowed them to be the fine, respectful, beautiful children they are today. She extremely valued all her family that Loved her. Karen Loved listening…. and sharing Love and wisdom in conversation with them, too. (She was the very best at that!)

She is survived by her husband, Craig Regan of Eustis, FL; Daughter, Tara Carpenter of Eustis, FL; Brother, John Patrick Barrett of Blountville, TN; Sister, Peggy Barrett True of Johnson City, TN; as well as her five grandchildren, Andrew, Lomar, Nathen, Kamea & Nicholas.
