Event honoring return of long-lost World War II airman’s remains has been postponed

The Welcome Home Hero’s Highway procession for the remains of a local World War ll veteran has been postponed.

The funeral at Lone Oak Cemetery in Leesburg is now scheduled for Jan. 21. The time and route will be released at a later date.

Staff. Sgt. Franklin P. Hall was killed in 1944 while flying a combat bombing mission over France. His remains were finally identified this past July.
