Shawn Christopher Shabloski of Seaford, DE passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22, 2023.

Shawn was born November 1, 1956, in Wilmington to the late George S. Shabloski and Margaret A. Buckley. Also preceded in death by his brother, Joseph S. Shabloski.

He is survived by his previous wife, as he always referred to her, Rose M. Shabloski. He was loved dearly by his daughter, Heather A. Hosler, and son-in-law, Ryan P. Hosler. He was blessed to have made many memories as “Pappy” to his three grandchildren Caine D. Bailey, Reagan J. Bailey and Lillian J. Hosler. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends.

Shawn lived a full and exciting life and enjoyed motorcycles, fishing, music and rebuilding everything from small motors to computers. He worked in many industries from auto mechanic to construction when he finally retired as a dump truck driver for Isaac’s Paving.
After retirement, he made the move to Leesburg, FL where he resided at Mid Florida Lakes for 9 years. While retired, he made many friends and enjoyed riding around on his golf cart and chatting with neighbors. He attended Welcome Home Christian Church of Leesburg every Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed Bible study on Wednesdays. He could often be found greeting guests to their community events.

Shawn traveled the country many times over and had the opportunity to meet a lot of interesting people. The stories he shared with his family will be cherished.

There will be no memorial services scheduled at this time to honor his request but his immediate family welcomes friends and family to do the very thing he loved, share stories, memories and laugh at the tales spun.
