Frances Torres
February 15, 1961 – November 7, 2023
Frances Torres, 62, of Leesburg, FL, went to be with the Lord on November 7th, 2023.
Frances was born to her parents, Jose Torres and Arsenia Colón, in Manhattan, NY. She will always consider The Bronx, NY home, though. After earning her Masters degree, she would work as a social worker for the education system.
Frances loved to travel. She was known for her many adventures to far away places. Any location with a beach, she was ready. She also was a dancer and an animal lover, often taking in special need dogs. But most importantly, her loving family was her top priority. She was often the first one ready to step up and help family members in need.
Frances is survived by her sisters, Freddy, Lucy and Sallie; nephews, Carlos (and honorary brother) with his wife, Ivy, Kiko, Hector, Jose, Pepe; her nieces, Sylvia, Nandy, Mitchell and Lula; brother-in law, Moises; her great-nephew, Joey; her great-nieces, Adrienne, Alessandra, and Alessia; god-daughter, Taina; and, of course, her friends Norma and Millie.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Torres and Arsenia Colón, and brothers, Jose Torres Jr and Hector Torres.
