Remembering Our Fallen Memorial to visit Eustis for Veteran’s Day

In conjunction with the annual Salute To Veterans day events on Nov. 11, the City of Eustis has announced that it will be hosting the Remembering Our Fallen-The Iraq and Afghanistan National Memorial at Ferran Park.

The photographic war memorial honors our country’s military who have fallen during the global war on terrorism, from September 11, 2001 to August 30, 2021. The large displays feature both military and personal photos as a remembrance of these brave men and women.

The City of Eustis is grateful to be able to bring this display to area veterans, who are welcome along with members of the general public, to view the panels from 8 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12 in Ferran Park, located beside Lake Eustis.

Veteran’s Day, Nov. 11, begins with a 2-mile run, followed by the Phantom Airborne Brigade Jumps at 9 a.m. The annual Veteran’s Parade begins at 1 p.m., with a Ceremony of Honor at Ferran Park bandshell at 2 p.m. The Florida Military Vehicle Heritage Group Display, along with food trucks and craft vendors, will be on hand from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
