Mr. Bobby Franklin Saul, 82 of Astor, Florida passed away Sunday, August 13,2023.

He was born in Charlotte, North Carolina on January 21,1941 to the late Frank E. & Frances L. Saul.

Bob left home at an early age and was introduced to harness racing. Bob was the owner, trainer and driver of Bob Saul Racing Stable. He traveled throughout the United States as a trainer/driver for harness race horses. In 1965, he moved his family to Louisville, Kentucky. It was there he retired from racing and started Bob Saul Painting. Bob kept his painting company for about 16 years. In 1981, he traded his paint brush for a semi tractor/trailer and started Bob Saul Trucking and retired in 2013. He attended First Baptist Church of Astor.

Preceded in death by: parents Frank E. and Frances L. Saul, son William Franklin Saul and his sisters Carolyn Peterson & Audrey Stallworth.

Survivors include: Ex-wife Marjorie A. Saul, of Louisville,Ky, Companion Annie Saul and Sister Pat McCoy of Astor, Florida. His daughters: Belinda Vincent (Rob), Deborah Followell of Louisville, Kentucky, Tonya Keifer (Shawn) of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, Dawn Marie Saul of Utah and son Bobby F. Saul,Jr. of Sellersburg,Indiana, He also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and a host of other cousins,uncles,aunts,nieces, nephews, and friends. Bob also leaves behind his beloved dog, Nubby.

A Celebration of Bobby’s Life will be held on Friday, August 18 at 5:00 PM at the Beyers Funeral Home in Astor. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Astor Cemetery at a future date.
