David Matthew Darby

David Matthew Darby, 57, of Eustis, passed away Friday, August 11, 2023.

Born in Tampa, Florida, he moved to Eustis in 2015 from Lake Mary, Florida. David was a manager at Collins Manufacturing and a member of Trinity Church in Eustis. He was an avid runner, a member of the Clermont Triathlon Club, a member of the Florida Native Plant Society, as well as a baseball coach with the Sorrento Babe Ruth League.

David is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sheila M. Darby of Eustis, FL; mother, Margarite Hart of Tampa, FL; 2 daughters, Ashlee (Michael) Monteith of Eustis, FL, Emilee Darby of Dallas, TX; 4 brothers, John Henry (Barbara) Darby, Jr. of Tampa, FL, Perry (Rene) Darby of Overland Park, KS, Steve (Lori) Darby of Colorado Springs, CO, John Christopher Darby of Dunnellon, FL; 2 grandchildren, Luke and Levi Monteith.

Services will be held at Trinity Church, Eustis, on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to A.L.S. Association (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), 27001 Agoura Road, Suite 250,, Agoura Hills, CA 91301 or Florida Trail Association, 1022 NW 2nd St, Gainesville, FL 32601 (floridatrail.org).
